What it actually does
CO₂ fractional laser treats the skin in tiny columns rather than all at once, leaving healthy tissue in between to speed healing. Those controlled micro-injuries prompt the skin to rebuild, which is what softens scars and smooths texture over the weeks that follow.
Because it is a genuine resurfacing laser, it does more than a facial — and it asks more of you in downtime. We will be clear at consultation about the trade-off before you book.
What to expect
Numbing first, then the treatment, then several days of redness and flaking while the surface renews — longer if we treat deeper. Most of the change appears gradually as new collagen forms, not on the day. Deeper scarring usually needs more than one session, and we will give you a realistic number rather than an average.
Aftercare
SPF 50 every morning while you heal and for months after — sun is what undoes a resurfacing result. Keep the skin clean and moisturised, skip actives until we say, and call us if anything looks unexpected.
